We think Bronx Pizza was the first to bring a real taste of New York-style pizza to San Diego back in 1997, and they've been keeping it classic ever since. Still serving up crispy, gooey, delicious pies in their cozy Hillcrest corner, this laid-back landmark is cash-only—but no worries, there's an ATM inside.

Pacific Beach, Del Mar, Little Italy, La Jolla
Ambrogio15 opened at its Pacific Beach location 8 years ago, and since then, San Diegans have caught on to its great-quality Italian food and even better selection of pizza. Now, with 4 San Diego locations, this restaurant has mastered their goal to give an elevated and fresh perspective on the cheesy, greasy, 'fast food' options most people know.

From day one, Lefty's set out to bring the legendary Chicago-style deep-dish pizza to San Diego—and wow, did they nail it. This spot serves up the real deal, giving our city a true taste of Chicago. With top-notch ingredients, local brews on tap, and a welcoming family vibe, Lefty's is a San Diego staple that’s here to stay.

Liberty Station, Coronado, Encinitas, South Park
This award-winning hotspot has been dishing out authentic Neapolitan-style pies since 2011, when owner Matteo Cattaneo decided to bring a taste of his native Italy to sunny SoCal. With a gold-tiled wood-fired oven named Sofia (after Matteo's daughter) cranking out perfectly blistered crusts, it's no wonder this place has snagged accolades like the Gambero Rosso for Best Pizzeria. From their South Park original to their new Orange County digs, Buona Forchetta is proving that when it comes to pizza, they're the real deal.
7094 Miramar Rd, San Diego, CA, 92121
The Pizza Joint takes special care in their pizzas, with original and one-of-a-kind pizza recipes you’ll be sure to enjoy. Pizza isn’t the only thing you can get at The Pizza Joint, with their extensive menu offering wings, burgers and sandwiches, pasta and salads, desserts, and so much more.
